BLORA, topdetinews.com – After five years in a row staying in the Primary category, this year Blora managed to move up a grade and won an award for Child Friendly District (KLA) in the Middle category in 2023 from the Ministry of Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection (Kemen PPPA).
The award was announced Saturday (22/7/23) evening, via zoom. Apart from Blora, the Intermediate category of KLA awards was also given to a number of districts in Indonesia. Among them, Bandung Regency, Bekasi City, North Labuhanbatu Regency, Labuhan Batu Regency, Tebing Tinggi City, South Tapanuli Regency, Lahat Regency, Lubuk Linggau City, and Banjarnegara Regency.
Blora Regent Arief Rohman confirmed this. “Alhamdulillah, the achievement of this award is the joint work of all parties involved. Hopefully Blora will continue to be able to advance to the KLA category,” he stated, Sunday (23/7/23).
Meanwhile, according to Acting Head of Social Services Agency P3A Blora, Luluk Kusuma Agung Ariadi AP, through the Head of P3A Social Services Office of P3A Blora, Amida Hayu Kristiana, Blora’s KLA rating increase this year needs to be grateful. “This is all thanks to the direction from the Regent and the work of all related parties, including the intensive work of the Head of the TP PKK,” he explained.
It is known that Child-Friendly Districts (KLA) are districts that are capable of planning, establishing, and implementing all development programs with the orientation of children’s rights and obligations. This is so that children can grow and develop properly.
In Indonesia, every year there are assessments and awards given to child-friendly districts/cities. The evaluation team from the Ministry of Women’s Empowerment and Child Protection (KemenPPPA), institutional ministries and the Independent Team will categorize it into five ratings. Namely, Primary, Madya, Nindya, Utama and KLA. Regent Arief added, for Blora Regency, the KLA award was not the main goal, but rather a bonus to the District Government’s obligation to fulfill children’s rights and protect children in Blora Regency. ***
